Arkansas River Basin Water Forum

When

April 25, 2023 - April 26, 2023
9:00 am - 7:00 pm

The Arkansas River Conservation Cooperative is the Watershed Sponsor of the Arkansas River Basin Water Forum to be held at the Doubletree by Hilton in Colorado Springs, Colorado, April 25-26, 2023.

Since 1995, the Arkansas River Basin Water Forum has provided a friendly and constructive venue where individuals and organizations are able to explain their views and engage in open dialogue with other water users.

The forum promotes conversations between water users and the public. Sessions will cover Colorado water law, beneficial water use, and principles of water conservation. Agricultural, municipal, industrial, environmental, recreational and governmental interests in the basin will be represented.

Past Forums have provided a broader understanding of water issues. This enhanced knowledge contributes toward management decisions that serve the common good for all who call the Arkansas River Basin their home.

The ARCC board views participation in the Arkansas River Basin Water Forum as a key part of the organization’s strategy to build relationships and have a seat at the table for water management in the Upper Arkansas River Basin.  Bob Hamel, Executive Director of ARCC, is also on the board of ARBWF.

The Arkansas River Basin Water Forum is a 501 (c)3 non-profit that serves as a conduit for information about the Arkansas River Basin in Colorado, and for issues related to water allocation and management.  Through its annual Forums, a wider understanding of water issues has evolved and along with it the opportunity to find common ground.

The ARCC board encourages all members to attend. It is easy to register online at www.arbwf.org. You can register up to 10 attendees at a time.   You can choose from several industry tours at no additional cost.  We encourage you to also register for the Percolation -n- Runoff dinner and drinks social event (sponsored by ARCC) for only $25.  This is one of the most fun parts of our Forum.
